Nicholas Asare

Nicholas Asare (PhD) is a lecturer with the Department of Accounting, University of Ghana Business School, University of Ghana, Ghana. Over the years he has taught courses such as Corporate Reporting, Financial Reporting and Control, Strategic Management Control, Management Accounting, Tax Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, Financial Crimes, Public Sector Accounting, Auditing and Assurance, Fundamentals of Accounting. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana and Institute of Internal Auditors Ghana. Before joining University of Ghana Business School as a full-time lecturer, Nick worked as a Finance Manager at GNJ Ltd and Golden Arc Ltd, dealers in the Telecommunication industry. He offers management consultancy services in tax accounting, intellectual capital accounting, internal auditing, corporate performance, corporate reporting and corporate governance. He has developed and mounted a number of training programs in tax accounting, corporate reporting, intellectual capital accounting, internal auditing for several client organizations across the country. His research interests include Intellectual Capital Accounting, Sustainability Accounting, Forensic Accounting, Auditing, Corporate Performance, Corporate Reporting and Corporate Governance. He has published scholarly articles in various peer reviewed journals like Management Decisions, Journal of Economic and Administrative Sciences. Nicholas is a results-oriented person with an eye for detail and he brings excellence to bear in everything.
