UGBS Receives Book Donation from Ghana Book Development Council

The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) has received a donation of three hundred and three (303) books from the Ghana Book Development Council (GBDC) to support learning and research. The donation was presented on 17th March 2026 at the Dean’s Office by Mr. Kofi Asante Twumasi- Senior Production Services Manager, Mr. Ishmael Aryetey- Records Manager, and Mr. Emmanuel Ekow Arhin- Assistant Production Services Manager, on behalf of the Council. Welcoming the delegation, the Dean of UGBS, Prof. Ernest Tweneboah-Koduah, expressed his appreciation for the gesture. He noted that the books are relevant to the academic programmes of the school and would significantly enrich the library’s collection to benefit students.

Explaining the rationale behind the donation, Mr. Asante Twumasi indicated that the GBDC had received some books from Webster University Ghana and, in the spirit of supporting academic institutions, decided to donate a portion to UGBS for academic use. He added that the 303 books cover a wide range of disciplines aligned with courses offered at the Business School. Also present at the presentation were the UGBS Librarian- Mr. David Tetteh Odjeawo, the School Administrator-Mr. Emmanuel Poku-Sarkodee, and Assistant Registrar (General Administration), Ms. Saratu Salifu.
