UGBS Department of Accounting Receives Scholarship Support from Relief & Aid International
The Department of Accounting at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) received representatives from Relief & Aid International, a non-governmental organisation (NGO), on 19th June 2026, at the office of the Head of Department. The visit was led by representatives of the NGO, Mr. Alex Bright, General Secretary, and Mr. Nii Adjei Klu, Director. They met with the Head of Department, Prof. Godfred M.Y. Owusu, to present scholarships to five outstanding students from the Department of Accounting. Relief & Aid International is paying the school fees of the five outstanding students to support their academic excellence and empower them to achieve their full potential.
The scholarship beneficiaries are Awuku Princess Yaa Ampofowa, Sylvia Akosua Asuba, David Nii Amartey, Gyan Isaac Yeboah, and Joana Araba Essilfe, all Level 200 students. Speaking during the presentation, the NGO representatives noted that Relief & Aid International has supported students across various departments over the years as part of its commitment to promoting education and creating opportunities for young people.

Relief & Aid International was founded by Peggy Anna Naa Ayikailey Adamafio, a medical practitioner based in the United States. Prof. Owusu expressed appreciation to the NGO for its generous support and commitment to education. He encouraged the beneficiaries to remain dedicated to their studies and make good use of the opportunity provided.
